ICNS Neutron Impact Workshop
Tuesday 9 July 2013, EICC, Edinburgh, UK

The outcomes and impact of neutron research are important for neutron researchers, neutron facilities, funding bodies and wider society. Demonstrating that neutron studies provide real-world benefits is very important to justify the public money that is spent on them. This workshop will explore how we can be more effective at presenting the impact of neutrons - including development of science impact studies, demonstrating industrial economic impact, and highlighting how we provide skills and training for young people. Both the near term impacts from more applied studies and the long term impacts from more fundamental studies will be considered. A series of short talks from those experienced in developing impact material will introduce the topic, followed by an opportunity for discussion.

PLEASE NOTE: a sandwich lunch will be provided, and the limited spaces will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

For further information, contact Sara Fletcher at ISIS Impact by email to sara.fletcher@stfc.ac.uk
